Mojan Jianfar

Mojan is an urban planner and student member of OPPI, a facilitator and art director in Toronto, with a particular interest in designing new and innovative ways to engage people in urban planning. She works with diverse organizations providing stakeholder analysis, planning policy, and engagement advice. Mojan is an Assistant Cultural Planner, Culture and Heritage Planning, with the City of Mississauga.

With over 8 years experience managing and leading community-based initiatives, projects and programs, Mojan has led many large scale, multi-stakeholder public art beautification projects and installations such as the World's Tallest Mural, Curate the City at Nuit Blanche, and the artworks produced for the Toronto 2015 Pan Am/ParaPan Am Opening Ceremonies Ceremonial Cauldron. As an urban planner, her focus is on innovative and impactful public engagement and has worked on projects such as the Youth Engagement Strategy and TOCORE for the City of Toronto.

Mojan has a Masters of Environmental Studies, Urban and Regional Planning from York University, and was recently awarded the Nathan Gilbert Youth Innovation Fellowship to continue her work in designing creative ways to bring communities together for involvement in planning processes.
