What do you do in your communities to increase awareness of the RPP brand? (This is reflective.)

Volunteering
As a long-time RPP, I volunteer to both build the brand and give back to my profession and the communities where I live and work.

Volunteering can take many forms: organize events; sit on Committees/Council; write articles for professional magazines; research & review government policies & intiatives; plant trees for local charities; mentoring younger planners and many more...

Personally, I have volunteered so much and over such a long period, it is part of me. I would have difficulty not volunteering. I get so much out of every opportunity, including networking, learning new things, meeting new people, sharing new experiences.

My advice to you is find something you enjoy doing, then do it because you want to and it feels good.
