Director, Watershed Planning & Natural Heritage, Central Lake Ontario Convervation Authority

As Director of Watershed Planning and Natural Heritage at Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority (CLOCA), Heather is responsible for the preparation and implementation of Watershed Plans as well as the Natural Heritage program.   This work focuses on understanding the health and well being of CLOCA’s watersheds and sharing this information with local municipalities and watershed stakeholders.  Heather has a keen interest in protecting significant natural resources for future generations and this includes furthering her understanding of the relationship between climate change, ecosystem resiliency and healthy communities.  As the chair of the Durham Region Natural Environment Climate Change Collaborative, Heather is hoping to further the understanding of the important role that healthy ecosystems contribute in climate change adaptation.
