Janet Dawson

Health Promoter, Peterborough Public Health

Janet has a Master of Science (Health Promotion) from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor of Science (Health Education) from Dalhousie University. For several years, Janet has worked as a Health Promoter for Peterborough Public Health (PPH). Throughout her Public Health career, Janet has coordinated organization-wide healthy public policy activities, developed partnership approaches for collaborating with local governments, and coordinated strategies to address healthy built and natural environments. In addition to this, Janet is also an instructor for the University of Alberta’s School of Public Health where she teaches about the social determinants of health.
