Why Am I a Director? 

I serve as a Director because I am committed to advancing a strong, practical, and forward-looking planning profession in Ontario. Through my work in policy development, awards, examinations, and past contributions to the Ontario Planning Journal, I value supporting professional standards, thoughtful governance, and meaningful member engagement. Serving on Council allows me to contribute experience from both consulting practice and volunteer leadership to help guide the Institute’s strategic direction. 

My Background 

I am a Partner at MHBC Planning in the Kitchener office and a Registered Professional Planner. I have led a wide range of projects across Ontario, including Official Plan and Zoning By-law reviews, Secondary Plans, Subwatershed Studies, and integrated Municipal Class EA approvals. I am a recipient of OPPI’s Member Service Award and remain actively involved with industry liaison committees and professional initiatives.
