Scott Taylor, RPP
Director
Why I Am a Director
I chose to apply to be a director at OPPI after many other volunteer roles with the Institute, including on the PKE and the Lakeland DLT. In putting my name forward for this role, I wanted to learn from other directors and OPPI staff, but I also sought to contribute a rural municipal voice to the Council discussions. In addition, I have a particular interest in attracting more new/young professionals and students to the Institute.
My Background
I am the Director of Planning for the County of Grey, where I have worked for the past 21 years. I enjoy working and living in rural Ontario and currently get to indulge in a healthy mixture of development and policy planning in a rural, recreational, and small urban context.
