Cindy is currently engaged by OPPI to provide essential support to the Council, Executive Committee and Governance & Nominations Committee, addressing their governance and operational requirements.  With a career rooted in association management, Cindy brings extensive experience collaborating with boards of directors, committees, and volunteers. Her work within Ontario’s infrastructure, engineering and construction sector associations has uniquely positioned her to support the Planning Professionals of OPPI effectively.

With over 15 years of experience in the marketing and hospitality industry in Canada, Eugene has worked in various senior finance and administration roles. Eugene directs the financial and administrative work of OPPI including management of finance, business planning and budgeting, enterprise development, human resources, administration and information technology, and escalating issues to the Executive Director as needed.

Ryan is a professional educator by training and has previous experience in public, post-secondary, international and adult learning institutions. Joining OPPI in 2014 as the Education Manager, he took over as Registrar & Director, Member Services in late 2020. In addition to his professional interests, Ryan is an avid Montreal Canadiens fan, cyclist, dad, and Mandalorian. This is the way.

Sarah is the go-to person for communications at OPPI. Her years of experience with internal and external communication, combined with a keen eye for detail and love of language, means that almost everything written or spoken passes through her hands. Sarah oversees OPPI's brand identity and communications channels, where she keeps members, stakeholders, and the public informed about OPPI activities and initiatives across the province of Ontario. Sarah has a background in journalism from Carleton University and a deep-seated love for reading, writing, and all things creative. When she's not buried nose-deep in a good book, you can find her curled up on the couch indulging in her guilty pleasure: reality TV.

Karenza is an educator and curriculum builder. She is a former university instructor and has a PhD from University of Ottawa in the history of women’s informal education. With over fifteen years of experience working in associations and planning events, she brings a wealth of knowledge to her role. Karenza is a lifelong learner, an avid reader, strength trainer, hiker, and foodie.

Christie has experience working in non-profit organization and high schools in Hong Kong. She is passionate in administrative support. By working in OPPI as an administrative role, Christie aims to support the organization's mission by ensuring its operations run smoothly, efficiently, and effectively, which allows the organization to maximize its impact and achieve its goals.

As a former teacher, Katie believes in education and continuous learning, and has taught and developed curriculum for all ages including elementary and high school, post-secondary, and adult education. Having completed her Master’s in Geography at the University of Toronto researching land use policies in Ontario, Katie is passionate about sustainable development and environmental protection. Katie has organized and delivered more than 100 workshops, conferences, and events on sustainable development, climate change, and Geographic Information Systems. In her free time, Katie enjoys baking, hiking, and spending time with family and friends outdoors.

Cassidy is a social media and communications professional with a journalism background, bringing a sharp eye for crafting engaging, impactful content. She has a proven track record of creating strategies that build strong online presences, connect with diverse audiences, and drive meaningful engagement.

In her spare time, Cassidy enjoys reading, crocheting, and keeping up with her favourite reality television shows.

Vivien has extensive experience in human resources and customer service within financial institutions. As a professional and dedicated Membership Coordinator at OPPI, she is committed to people-focused work and administrative responsibilities. Vivien fosters communication with members, supports their growth in the planning field, and encourages their active participation in OPPI events. Her goal is to ensure a positive and engaging experience for all members, helping them thrive within our community.
