Ontario needs the expertise of Registered Professional Planners to strengthen Ontario's communities in 2021 and beyond. One important step in preparing for 2021 will be maintaining your OPPI membership; your membership and the RPP designation is an emblem of the guidance you provide our communities. Meanwhile, we here at the Institute will keep working with a similar level of focus to support you in meeting those expectations.
We are aware that even though you have adapted and changed to continue doing your very best in planning, budgets are not always as flexible. To help our members in 2021, OPPI Council decided not to proceed with a membership fee increase.**
Thank you for staying strong and switched on as Ontario's guides through the storm this year, and the next. We’ll be here when you need us. Together, we’ll stay #AlwaysON.
Apply for membership or renew your membership (launching in November 2020)
OPPI fees are prorated (50%) for membership applications after July 1st (Insurance fee is not prorated). Student Members who join OPPI after September 1, 2020 pay the regular 2021 membership rate and get the rest of 2020 and all of 2021.
The 2021 membership fees for OPPI are as below:
**Please note the following message to members from RDA Insurance:
We work in earnest each year to bring you the best insurance coverage and pricing in conjunction for all members. This includes errors and omissions for all registered members, group personal lines, and commercial policies. We started our errors and omissions program with OPPI five years ago. This year, unfortunately, given the increase in claims we have been hit with losses that require us to increase premiums. Through negotiations we were able to obtain $54 dollars per member for the 2021-22 term, and this represents an increase of $10 per member which will be added to your OPPI invoice.
Installment Payment Plan
OPPI has also developed an installment payment plan those who may need a gradual approach to paying their Membership Fees.
Members who need this flexibility may pay their 2021 membership fee in three installments. You will need to provide pre-paid cheques to OPPI, with the final installment payment by March 1.
Interested members should go through the online renewal steps, select “Installment Payment” option on the payment section to create an invoice for 2021 membership. Subsequently, please email the OPPI’s Director of Finance and Administration, Robert Fraser (firstname.lastname@example.org) to confirm your participation in this payment plan.
