OPPI Seeks Non-Member Public Interest Representatives for Council, Discipline Committee and Complaints Committee

OPPI is seeking non-planners to become members of its volunteer Council (two-year term), Discipline Committee and Complaints Committee (three-year term) of office. These three (3) positions will offer an external perspective on the deliberations of OPPI’s Council and Discipline / Complaints Committees, enhancing transparency and ensuring the interest of the broader public is paramount.

Qualifications
Successful candidates will be Ontario residents with a minimum of seven years of experience in a field other than planning. They will have some knowledge of planning and its dynamics and a general understanding of the governance and management processes of a professional association.
 
Candidates should be motivated individuals, who can effectively collaborate with Council / Committee members and staff. They should be committed to excellence in governance, public accountability and practitioner competence, and possess professional acumen, foresight and creativity.
