OPPI offers a cost-effective and targeted job board to help employers find skilled professional planners.

Who uses the OPPI job board

All of our 4,500 members have access to the OPPI job board.

Professional planners work in the public, private, educational, and not-for-profit sectors, and in the most impactful fields including urban and rural development, urban design, environmental planning, transportation, health, social services, heritage conservation, housing, and economic development.

How to include OPPI membership in job postings

Only full members of OPPI are authorized to use the Registered Professional Planner (RPP) designation in Ontario.

OPPI will not accept postings referring to "eligibility" in OPPI. When referring to OPPI membership requirements, use any one of the following:

  • ​"OPPI membership is required"
  • "OPPI membership is preferred”
  • “Registered Professional Planner (RPP) in OPPI is required”
  • “Registered Professional Planner (RPP) in OPPI is preferred”

RPPs are the professionals specifically educated, trained, and ethically committed to guiding decision makers, the public, and stakeholders in all sectors along the better-informed path to inspire communities in the public interest. OPPI members must meet strict practice requirements and are accountable to OPPI and the public to practice ethically and to abide by a Professional Code of Practice

Fees and NEXT Steps

Single posting $800 + HST
Each additional posting* $150 + HST
Single student posting $200 + HST
Each additional student posting* $50 + HST

* Additional postings should be submitted at the same time as the first posting in order to appear on invoice.

How to post a job on the OPPI job board

  1. Click on the Post a Job, RFQ or RFP button above
  2. Fill out the appropriate fields in the form, noting required fields
  3. When you are satisfied with your posting, click Submit

Please allow one to two business days for us to review and process your request. You will receive a notification once your posting is live on the OPPI job board. Your posting will remain active on the OPPI job board until the posting deadline has passed, up to a maximum of three months.

ADVERTISING A JOB, RFQ OR RFP

As a regular practice, we share postings from the OPPI job board on our official Twitter and LinkedIn channels the week that we receive them. To be included in our weekly social lineup, job postings must be submitted by Thursday at 12-noon.

For additional exposure, consider placing an ad in our Y Magazine.
