Amir Soozandehfar

Amir-Soozandehfar_headshot.jpgAmir Soozandehfar is a student member of OPPI and in his final year of the biological science program at the University of Guelph. Before starting at the University of Guelph, Amir finished a four-year Bachelor of Arts in urban planning and design at Shiraz University in Iran.

Amir is also currently working as an urban designer intern at DIALOG, where he works to build happier, healthier and greener urban neighbourhoods. Pursuing a biological science inspired Amir to step back and view urbanization from a different and new perspective. He is interested in understanding and researching how urbanization and urban development may impact human health. Amir is a big fan of this quote by American economist Edward Glaeser: “The city is humanity's greatest invention and our best hope for the future.”
