Dr. Zhixi Zhuang, MCIP, RPP & Jack Krywulak

Dr. Zhixi Zhuang (MCIP, RPP) is an Associate Professor at the School of Urban and Regional Planning, Toronto Metropolitan University. As the Academic Director of the Toronto Metropolitan Centre for Immigration and Settlement and Founder and Director of DiverCityLab (www.divercitylab.com), her research explores the intersection of immigrant settlement, urban landscapes, and municipal policies in topics related to building welcoming communities, immigrant entrepreneurship and place-making, and migration and suburban transformation.
Jack Krywulak is a Master’s of Arts candidate at Western University’s Centre for the Study of Theory and Criticism. Jack has been a research assistant under Dr. Zhixi Zhuang since March 2024 following a successful 4th year undergraduate studio project at Toronto Metropolitan University where he completed his Bachelor's of Urban and Regional Planning. Jack’s main research interests are critical theory and political philosophy.
