Sam Jones, MScPl and Nicole Hanson, MES(Pl.), RPP, MCIP

Sam Jones, MScPl, is a planner, writer, and cartographer based in Toronto. Sam is a recent transplant to Ontario, having relocated from Minneapolis in 2018 to pursue their MSc in Planning at the University of Toronto. Sam’s work is eclectic in nature, focusing variously on transit and active transportation planning, land use and zoning, queer and trans urbanism, placemaking, and the urban geography of death.
 
 
Nicole N. Hanson, MES (Pl.), RPP, MCIP, is a Registered Professional Planner with provincial and municipal experience in land use planning. Nicole holds extensive experience in reviewing complex development and building permit applications across Ontario. As a thought leader of cemetery planning and previous regulator of cemeteries across Ontario, Nicole facilitates equitable planning policy directives for the cultural landscapes of cemeteries locally and globally. Nicole is a full member of the Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI) and the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP).
