Toronto Women's City Alliance

Toronto Women’s City Alliance (TWCA) is a non-profit organization that advocates for the inclusion of the voices of diverse girls and women in municipal policy in the City of Toronto. We analyze City policies and practices to ensure that they incorporate a gendered analysis. This includes analyzing more technical policy areas that do not always seem gendered but that deeply affect the everyday lives of women, such as land use and infrastructure planning. For further information, please visit: www.twca.ca. This blog post was put together as a group effort by several staff members from TWCA, including:

Meghan Joy is a PhD candidate in Policy Studies at Ryerson University,     and has an MSc in Planning from the University of Toronto.

Jessica Mustachi is the Safety Program Coordinator at METRAC, and has an MSc in Health, Community and Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
