Kristy Kilbourne, Principal

Kristy Kilbourne, MCIP, RPP, AICP is a Registered Professional Planner and Full Member of the Canadian Institute of Planners. She is also a Certified Planner through the American Institute of Certified Planners. She holds an accredited Master's Degree in Environmental Studies (Urban and Regional Planning) from York University and a B.A. (Hons). Degree in Environmental and Resource Studies from Trent University. With over 15 years of experience working in a variety of planning, policy and development-focused roles, Kristy's professional expertise spans from high-level policy development to site-specific planning solutions in both urban and rural contexts.


Kristy works with a wide variety of clients across Ontario, leading and supporting planning and development projects. As a Professional Planner, her primary focus is on achieving the best possible planning outcomes for clients and the community. Beyond project work, she is passionate about advancing the planning profession—mentoring fellow planners, helping them excel in their careers, and fostering a culture of continuous growth and excellence in the field. Kristy's work has been recognized by organizations including the Economic Developers Council of Ontario, and she is the proud recipient of an OPPI Members Service Award.
