While Incite Planning often works with municipal or First Nation administrative structures, we occasionally work with individuals, developers, or government agencies. We have found that the understanding of the need for consultation and accommodation of constitutionally-protected rights regarding the Land is low. However, the goodwill and interest tends to be high. Thus, we have become avid supporters of efforts to bridge this gap, such as the Muskoka Area Indigenous Leadership Table or the Shared Path Consultation initiative. It is our hope that planners are ready to embark on a journey from the use of Land towards a towards a relationship with Land.
