OPPI's response to Ontario's Housing
Affordability Task Force report

On February 8, the Ontario Government published the Housing Affordability Task Force report on measures to increase the supply of housing in the province of Ontario.

The report includes more than 55 recommendations, and OPPI is currently reviewing them in detail to assess the impact on the planning profession.

OPPI is also continuing to advance our own recommendations on housing supply with the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, as he considers the housing affordability task force report. OPPI submitted a letter with our Top 10 Housing Supply and Affordability Recommendations directly to the Minister.

The recommendations submitted are the outcome of a Housing Roundtable held the first week of January with several OPPI members and input from OPPI Council members.

If you have any feedback on the report that will inform our work, please feel free to contact OPPI at executivedirector@ontarioplanners.ca.
