NEW DIRECTOR POSITIONS
In January 2022, the OPPI membership has approved an amendment to the By-Law to add two new Director positions to OPPI Council. These new positions include another Public Representative, and a new Candidate or Student Representative. Both positions were added to allow for further representation and diversity within Council.
Three OPPI Council positions are available this year for a two-year term which commences at the adjournment of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in the fall of each year.

NEW NOMINATIONS PROCESS
The Governance & Nominating Committee has simplified our nominations process for the benefit of candidates considering a position on OPPI Council. One of the new features is a self-assessment questionnaire to determine your interest in, and readiness for, a Council position.
We are also sharing the demographics of our current Council members so that those applying are aware of any gaps in Council make-up as we work towards ensuring we have a diverse Council in every way possible.

The Governance & Nominating Committee works diligently to ensure that the OPPI Council is diverse in every way possible to ensure broad representation for the profession. We strongly encourage applications from members of Indigenous and racialized communities and all equity-deserving groups including women, persons with disabilities, and LGBTQ2+ communities.
