April is Sikh Heritage Month

 In 2013, the Legislative Assembly of Ontario proclaimed April as Sikh Heritage Month.

Marking the 10-year anniversary of this celebration, arts, culture and heritage, OPPI takes the opportunity to raise awareness of Sikh cultural heritage and the contributions of the Sikh community to Ontario, through and planning profession and more. We want to ensure that stories of Sikh organizations and leaders are amplified and recognized for their contributions in fostering Ontario's diverse communities.
