Collingwood's Historic Downtown

As participants walk through Collingwood’s historic downtown they will learn about the architectural significance of the buildings, challenges to maintaining the district and threats to its integrity. Additionally, tour leaders will describe the town’s tools to preserve its downtown core. Exploring the fringes of the heritage district, participants will also learn how well these tools have worked in respect of the properties adjacent to the district. Time permitting, participants will explore the former shipyards site and hear about how it is being integrated into the adjoining downtown.
