Getting to Consensus - Leave the Lawyers Out of the Room

This session will profile the successful approach used to resolve the appeal of the Simcoe County official plan at the OMB. The process, which spanned over 3½ years, resulted in little or no contested hearing time, despite the involvement of over 100 parties. With OMB reform anticipated, perhaps all major appeals could be resolved by planning experts meeting to seek solutions/resolution before the solicitors get too involved. Come to this session and hear how it can be done.
