Dan is a Partner with MHBC and specializes in land use policy, intensification strategies and cultural heritage planning. Dan joined MHBC in 2009, after having worked in various positions in the public sector since 1997 including the Director of Policy Planning for the City of Cambridge and Senior Policy Planner for the City of Waterloo. He has experience in the development of heritage plans and policies including cultural heritage master plans, heritage district studies and plans, heritage impact assessments and heritage policy evaluation.
 
Dan holds a Masters degree in Planning from the University of Waterloo, a Bachelors degree (Honours) in Planning from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Arts (Art History) degree from the University of Saskatchewan. He is a registered Professional Planner and a Member of the Canadian Institute of Planners..  He was the lead Consultant in the preparation of the Municipality of Meaford Heritage Conservation District Plan and Study.
