Dana Anderson has over 25 years of professional experience in the field of urban planning. Through various positions in both government and the private sector, she has developed an extensive knowledge base and gained experience and expertise in a wide range of areas.
 
Ms. Anderson has developed, managed and authored new Official Plans, Secondary Plans, Zoning By-laws and major policy studies and plans for the public sector. As the Chief Planner for the Town of Oakville she led a department of 30 staff and oversaw the heritage, policy, development and urban design planning functions of the Town. She was responsible for the completion of the Town’s new Official Plan, Zoning By-law and several major development and policy projects.
 
Ms. Anderson has also directed and managed staff and sub-consultants on a variety of private sector planning projects throughout Ontario including the redevelopment of several commercial retail centres and health care facilities.
 
Ms. Anderson has been an active member of the Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI) and the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP) throughout her career. She is a former OPPI Council member, has chaired the membership committee at both the provincial and national level and chaired committees on ethics and planning school accreditation as part of the national standards review.
