Director, Partnerships & Consultation, Ministry of Municipal Affairs

An Ontario public servant, Darren has provided advice to government on several significant social policy and transformation initiatives. He is currently Director of Partnerships & Consultation with the Ontario Growth Secretariat, Ministry of Municipal Affairs. 
 
Darren’s team is blazing a trail toward the city and region of the future. It engages the public, stakeholders and partners in support of the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe, the province's program to manage population growth and development, while protecting the environment, encouraging economic prosperity and supporting vibrant, better designed communities.
 
In past roles, his teams have developed policies to achieve Ontario’s commitment to end chronic homelessness by 2025 and have led innovative public education and partnership campaigns promoting accessibility for people with disabilities.
 
An avid amateur athlete, Darren competed with Team Canada at the duathlon world championships in 2016 and 2017.
 
Darren holds a journalism degree from Ryerson University and certificates from Schulich School of Business EEC, Osgoode Law School PD and the World Bank Group.
