Johanna Griggs

Economic Development Officer, Town of Wasaga Beach

Johanna is an Economic Development Officer with the Town of Wasaga Beach. Her focus is on undertaking initiatives to improve the local economy, support business development, encourage job growth and secure new business investment in the Town of Wasaga Beach. In doing so, she fosters constructive partnerships, builds consensus and works collaboratively with various types of organizations, including not for profits, various levels of government and private sector partners. Prior to joining the team in Wasaga Beach, Johanna worked for the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport  where she developed and managed tourism funding programs that contribute to economic development in communities across Ontario, provided strategic advice to senior executives and worked with the Ministry's tourism agencies and attractions to catalyze regional economic development.
