Stephen Murray

Economic Development Officer, Municipality of Meaford

Stephen Murray has been the economic development officer with the Municipality of Meaford since spring of 2014 and began his career in the Municipality of Kincardine in 2001 in the same position.  He has been actively involved in programs and initiatives that support both urban core and municipal wide business and tourism expansion.  He has significant experience in downtown improvement projects, investment attraction and tourism initiatives.  He works cooperatively with industry partners on programs that positively enhance the Municipality of Meaford. His latest tourism initiative has been the very popular, and EDCO award winning Meaford Big Red Chair tour.  Stephen is a graduate of Ryerson University where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Geography and he also holds a certificate in Economic Development from the University of Waterloo as well as completing the Municipal Administration program.
