MW16: Exhibition Place Environmental Initiatives Walking Tour

Join us for a walking tour of the many energy saving initiatives that have been undertaken at Exhibition Place. Hosted by Mark Goss, General Manager of Operations for Exhibition Place; this tour will include a variety of environmental initiatives including:
 

• Rain water collection system
• LED lighting installations with smart controls
• Air sampling for Beanfield’s meeting rooms
• An overview of the district energy system and related components
• 200 kW photovoltaic installation on the Horse Palace roof
• Cogeneration plant & heat recovery plant
• Cool roof installations for both Beanfield Centre and the Enercare Centre
• Newly installed high efficiency cooling towers
• Newly installed high-efficiency 1250 ton chiller as part of Exhibition Place’s 4,150 ton cooling plant
• 275 kW back pressure steam turbine and our steam boiler plant
• Auxiliary steam-to-water heat exchanger plant
