807: Main Street Ontario: Heritage Meets Accessibility (MSAA)

October 03, 2019

10:45AM - 11:45AM

Join the Ministry for Seniors and Accessibility to build on your knowledge of the Design of Public Spaces (DOPS) Standard and how the standard has moved from idea to action across Ontario. The session will highlight how the AODA impacts the work of professional planners, including how communities are approaching accessibility in heritage districts while developing accessible main streets. The presentation will also showcase resources to help you in your planning role.

Learning Objectives:

  • Examples of how the standard is making an impact across Ontario
  • The impact of Ontario’s accessibility laws on heritage buildings and sites
