A Lightning Talk
We will outline what One Bench One Tree does and describe the impact we’re intending to have with the project. Further, the presentation will describe the process of evolving the project from an idea to the organization it is today, including sponsorship establishment and ongoing hospital and contractor communication, as well as promotion and outreach. As pandemic students of the Master of Landscape Architecture Program at the University of Guelph, who met in person only once prior to establishing the organization, we encountered a situation with unique challenges that required large amounts of trust, creativity, and adaptability that cannot be understated. Finally, we will explore the directions we’re hoping One Bench One Tree to grow towards.
