300A: What Does Ontario’s New Environmental Plan Mean for Ontario’s Communities?

October 01, 2019

2:30PM - 3:00PM

In October 2018, the Province of Ontario announced plans to develop a new environmental plan for the province. Scheduled for release in Fall 2018, the comprehensive plan would build a resilient Ontario that protects water and air, addresses climate change, cleans up communities and encourages conservation. This session outlines details of the government's new environmental plan. Participants will be able to better understand the province’s goals and objectives regarding climate change and environmental protection, gain knowledge on how a new environmental plan relates to municipal planning efforts and understand how environmental plan actions would be implemented at the regional and local levels.

Please note: This session may be based on the status of the environmental plan.
