300B: Municipal Climate Change Action: Rationale, Resources and Best Practices

The Ontario Climate Consortium (OCC) is collaborating with the Clean Air Partnership and the Ontario Centre for Climate Impacts and Adaptation Resources as regional climate advisors to Ontario’s municipalities, sponsored by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities. OCC will share their expertise and resources available through the advisor program along with discussing challenges and creative solutions created with recent municipal recruits on climate change planning. In this session, participants will learn how to integrate climate change action into municipal planning and policy, learn about financial tools to support climate action at the municipal level and experience peer learning and networking with others in the field.
