307: The Wet Weather Wiki

The Low Impact Development (LID) Stormwater Management Planning and Design Guide v 1.0 was prepared in 2010 by a small team of staff across two conservation authorities: Toronto Region Conservation Authority and Credit Valley Conservation Authority. In 2016, this was expanded to encompass the interests and needs of Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority and around this time, the decision was made to prepare a living version of the Planning and Design Guide. The updated Guide will never have a v 3.0. Like the most famous wiki in the world, Wikipedia, content can be updated rapidly to reflect the best of the ‘best management practices’. Participants in this session will learn about the beenfits of the wiki format over printed documents, learn how to readily find more local information on the design and review types of stormwater practice and how they fit into development plans.
