Yasmin Afshar is a Planner and Urban Designer with experience focused around the interplay between municipal policy, urban design and community engagement. A recent graduate from University of Waterloo School of Planning, she holds specializations in Urban Design and Land Development, and is an advocate for revitalization, infill development, and community empowerment through inclusive design processes. Yasmin views urban design through a human-factors lens, and is interested in exploring how policy and development can be strengthened through an evidence-based, data-driven, and collaborative processes to improve an individual's experience within both a local and global context.
