Advance Notice of a Motion for the Annual General Meeting

OPPI supports a fair process whereby members are given advance notice of proposed motions to be made by members attending the Annual General Meeting (AGM). In this way as many members as possible have the opportunity to consider motions, decide whether to attend the AGM in person or to complete a form of proxy so their vote can be counted. To ensure adequate notice, each advance notice of a resolution or motion must be signed by a minimum of three (3) Full or Candidate members, and one of the motion nominees must be present at the AGM to bring the motion. Each advance notice of a resolution or motion must also be accompanied by a short explanation and rationale. Motions must be of a substantive matter.

The deadline to submit a resolution or motion is August 4, 2023 by 5 p.m. Questions regarding the process or nature of motions can be directed to executivedirector@ontarioplanners.ca.

All members submitting this form (includes the submitter and the two supporting members) must be a Full or Candidate Member of the Ontario Professional Planners Institute in good standing.
