Planning for the Public-Private Realm - Blue Mountain Village & Resort: A Case Study

This session will trace the public policy and corporate philosophies behind the original development plans and design of the Blue Mountain Village & Resort. Panelists will focus on how planners assisted the communities in dealing with the significant change to the landscape and how community leaders supported planners through this period of change. Participants will also learn about the village’s subsequent evolution to its current four-season destination. To illustrate the discussion, panelists will lead a walking tour of Blue Mountain Village & Resort.
