Melissa Kosterman, RPP, MCIP, LEED AP

Melissa Kosterman, is a Planner with Dillon Consulting, specializing in master planning and urban design. She joined the firm in 2009 and holds an Honours Bachelor Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Waterloo with a Specialization in Urban Design. Melissa is also a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP) with the Canada Green Building Council.
 

Melissa specializes in providing community, master planning and innovative Urban Design solutions to public and private sector clients across Canada. Melissa uses her experience to apply sustainable design initiatives and urban design elements to the various plans and projects. She manages this through preparation of policies and guidelines, using site design analysis, and engaging the community through consultation exercises such as visioning, workshops and design charrettes. The latter point helps to cement the ties between communities and their plans. Through the LEED AP accreditation process, Melissa also has knowledge of how to reduce carbon footprints and maximize efficiency for the design of a site and its associated built form. 
 

Melissa is a full member of the Canadian Institute of Planners and a Registered Professional Planner in Ontario.
