Leadership: Building Relationships through the Canada 150 Environmental Design Competition

The Canada 150 Environmental Design Competition was held at Fanshawe College May 2017. Students from across Canada were invited to prepare and submit designs of local places celebrating the Canada 150 themes of inclusion, belonging, reconciliation and connection. This session will share the process, results and lessons learned from the competition. It will include perspectives from student winners, an adjudicator and the host college and will conclude with a discussion about the value of design competitions to build relationships.

• Understanding the value of design competitions to relationship building from various perspectives.
