Program Manager - Graphics and Visualization, Urban Design, City of Toronto

Carolyn is the Graphic & Visualization Program Manager in the Urban Design unit of the City of Toronto’s City Planning Department. Prior to joining the City of Toronto Carolyn was the principal in a design and communication firm specializing in cartographic and wayfinding information. Carolyn Humphreys has managed graphics, technology and communication work groups since 1994. Her specialty is communicating urban planning issues using visual media to engage and facilitate discussion with diverse audiences. Her city building contributions include hands on design work, the use of technology to promote planning and face to face facilitation. Carolyn was a member of the award winning PATH project and has initiated and delivered workshops exploring the impact of technology on communicating planning proposals. Her most recent speaking engagements have focused on GIS technology and cultural mapping.
