Partner, Incite Planning

David is a partner of Incite Planning and has worked in municipal, First Nation, and NGO contexts. He is a founding board member of the Shared Path Consultation Initiative, and sits on CIPs Indigenous Communities Planning Committee.  His first major experience with the “Duty to Consult” arose while working as the Community Planning Advisor for the Ogemawahj Tribal Council.  It came with the request from a First Nation to represent their legal, technical, cultural, and planning interests at the Ontario Municipal Board.  Since then, he has been working with the Native and planning communities to raise the importance of this topic. A recent example was the workshop on the Duty to Consult and Accommodate in Owen Sound, a successful collaboration between OPPI and SPCI.
