Judy

Planner, Niagara Escarpment Commission

Judy Rhodes-Munk is an environmental land use planner with the Niagara Escarpment Commission (NEC). Judy is recognized as a problem solver and is skilled in conflict resolution. She brings a human side to decision-making, helping applicants navigate the sometimes challenging route to obtain a Development Permit, while meeting the purpose and objectives of the Niagara Escarpment Plan.

A graduate of the University of Western Ontario with a degree in Geography, Judy has garnered years of experience in environmental planning, parks planning and management, ecology and water resources management with Conservation Authorities, the Ministry of Natural Resource and Forestry, and the NEC.

A passionate environmentalist, hobby farmer, wife and mom; Judy lives with family and horses south of Owen Sound in Grey County. With the Escarpment forest, cliffs and Bruce trail as her backyard, she understands well the delicate balance between private and public interest in land use.
