Participants will gather at the Beanfield Centre prior to walking over to BMO Field, the home of the Toronto Football Club (TFC) and the Toronto Argonauts. Melissa Kosterman, RPP from Dillon Consulting will begin with a ‘walking’ presentation which will take place during the walk to the stadium. Melissa will provide participants with interesting contextual facts and history of the area and BMO field’s history of development. She will also touch briefly on recent renovations and achievements as well as some information regarding the World Cup 2026 bid and what it means for BMO field. Upon arrival at the stadium, the group will meet with Robert Heggie, Director of Grounds for Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment. He will take the group on a tour of the facility, discussing the visible and not so visible technological advancements above and below the turf and will discuss future upgrades that the stadium is looking to accomplish to get FIFA World Cup ready. There is only one thing to remember... Keep off the grass!
