In this session, participants will have the opportunity to perceive the cumulative effects of development through an Indigenous lens and consider the implications on Indigneous Sovereignty and Rights. Discussion will revolve around understanding what cumulative effects are, concerns around cumulative effects and how they can impact Indigneous Rights, and a big idea of how cumulitve effects can be considered through larger planning circles. Participants will be engaged in an interactive exercise that will create awareness of the Indigenous viewpoint and attempts to self-govern consultation processes.
