Allison is a Registered Landscape Architect who has practiced in BC and Ontario over the past 17 years. Allison has a broad portfolio of work including award-winning residential, streetscapes, community planning and transit infrastructure projects, with a focus on inclusive, accessible, timeless public places. Notable projects include the Streetscape and Landscape Design Plan for downtown Arnprior; the Mackenzie King Estate Cultural Landscape Rehabilitation and Accessibility improvements in Gatineau Park, Quebec; the Streetscape Master Plan for Downtown Renfrew; and urban design of the at-grade stations for Stage 1 of Ottawa Light Rail Transit Confederation Line. In her current role at WSP, Allison is the Discipline Lead for Landscape Architecture and Guideway Connectivity on the Confederation Line Extension (Stage 2) Light Rail Transit project in Ottawa, leading design of accessible multi-use trails, transit stations and urban park improvements across the City of Ottawa. Her professional focus is complemented by a keen interest in education and community. Allison has been an Adjunct Professor in the School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture at the University of British Columbia, and guest critic for Urban and Industrial Design Studios at Carleton University. She supports developing professionals in Landscape Architecture as a mentor and Professional reviewer for the OALA. Allison lives in Ottawa with her husband and two kids.
