David Sajecki, Partner and Co-founder of Sajecki Planning, is a professional planner, civil engineer and LEED associated professional. He has received both a Master’s of Urban and Regional Planning and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Civil Engineering) from Queen’s University as well as a diploma in urbanization and the environment from Fudan University in Shanghai, China. Prior to Sajecki Planning, David was the Director of the Transportation Studio at Brook McIlroy and the first Senior Advisor for the Union Pearson Express at Metrolinx, providing strategic and technical advice related to start-up planning and implementation of the service. While at Metrolinx, David also worked in the Policy and Planning Department where he was responsible for comprehensive policy analysis. He has worked as a Development Manager for the Province of British Columbia, overseeing the delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects and has international experience in both Malaysia and China on issues relating to development planning, transportation planning, land use planning, and growth management. In addition to significant development planning experience, David is presently leading the planning aspects of the Innisfil Orbit Secondary Plan, Georgetown GO Station Secondary Plan, Penetanguishene Town Dock Secondary Plan and co-leading the City of London’s new comprehensive zoning bylaw.
