Facilitation Specialist and Project Lead at WSP

Justin is a facilitation specialist and Project Lead at WSP, focusing on projects relating to active transportation planning, Complete Streets Design, Trails Implementation, and Age-Friendly Communities. He brings a spirit of collaboration and communication to each of his projects, serving as an effective liaison between the client, public and the project team. Prior to joining WSP, Justin managed the Bicycle Friendly Communities Program at the Share the Road Cycling Coalition where he oversaw the growth of the BFC Program across Ontario and beyond, facilitating the launch of the program at the national level in 2019. Justin also expanded the suite of products offered by Share the Road, creating the popular Bicycle Friendly Communities Workshop sessions. He delivered a workshop and the subsequent report in the Town of Caledon in 2017, helping the community achieve its current Bronze-level designation as a Bicycle Friendly Community.
Justin is an Executive Member of the Great Lakes Chapter of the International Association of Public Participation (IAP2), as well as an alumnus of the inaugural class of the Dignity Institute – an engagement framework based on the Dignity Infused Community Engagement (DICE) method, which centres the experiences of communities that have traditionally been left out of the planning process. He is an accomplished public speaker, an experienced facilitator in both in-person and virtual environments, and an expert in many different aspects of engagement, equity, and mobility.
