Laura is a recent graduate of the Masters of Urban and Regional Planning program at Queen's University. Prior to her Master’s, she worked in the non-profit sector, specifically with youth and older adults. Her planning interests include healthy community planning, transportation equity and exploring marginalized peoples' experiences in the planning process. Her Master's research focuses on the implementation of School Streets as a part of a larger project entitled ‘Levelling the Playing Fields’. She is looking to pursue a career in urban planning that focuses on addressing the spatial inequities faced by vulnerable populations.
