Manuel Spiller is a Master of Landscape Architecture Student at the University of Guelph and Chair of One Bench One Tree. His past career primarily focused on outdoor education and environmental restoration, including a four-year work engagement with the Credit Valley Conservation Authority, a volunteer position as chair of Willow Park Ecology Centre in Georgetown, ON and an Outdoor Adventure Naturalist Degree from Algonquin College. Connecting people with landscapes is what brought Manuel into the industry; It was the barefoot paths in his native Germany that inspired him to pursue a landscape architecture degree after spreading knowledge of the concept to Canadians for six years by presenting at conferences, such as the Horwood Conference and Rekindle the Spark, and to organizations and municipalities, including the cities of Vaughn and Sarnia.
