Matthew Rodrigues is a Team Lead and Project Planner with WSP’s Urban & Community Planning Group. Matthew joined the firm in 2017, working previously with WSP’s aviation planning group. Through this experience, he has worked on large policy and development projects across Ontario, led the design and delivery of community engagement programs, and is a skilled facilitator. Matthew has supported and led the development of numerous policy documents including Official Plans, Zoning By-laws, Community Improvement Plans, and Airport Master Plans. As the project planner involved in writing Brampton Plan, Matthew brought experience in working on policy planning exercises across the Province, and a desire to prepare an Official Plan that was user-friendly, accessible to the public, and conveyed the vision for the future of Brampton.
