1002B: Engaging Technology in the High Park Apartment Neighbourhood Study

October 03, 2019

2:30PM - 3:00PM

The High Park neighbourhood is an established, stable residential apartment neighbourhood that is in close proximity to lands identified as Provincial Area of Natural and Scientific Interest (ANSI), Environmentally Significant Area (ESA), natural heritage system, ravines and natural features. In response to significant development applications in the area, the City of Toronto carried out a study to evaluate existing area characteristics and identify appropriate policies, principles and guidelines to guide change and compatible infill development, as well as potential community improvement opportunities and natural environment enhancements. In this session, the Planning, Urban Design and Graphics & Visualization team from the City of Toronto will demonstrate three innovative planning study tools used to develop policy and guidelines for the High Park neighbourhood and enrich the community engagement process.
