Both the planning profession and the public health movement began with the cholera epidemic and the iconic removal of the handle on the Broad Street pump in Soho, London, England in 1854. The presentation will highlight public health contributions to the creation of healthy, sustainable and complete communities since the launch of the Places to Grow Act in 2006.
